The History of Bartha Timeline

A long time ago, in a Barthaverse far, far away, it was 1946 and Steve Bartha was just getting started. What began as a small business selling slide projectors, small sound systems and Bell & Howell film projectors expanded over the years to include rentals, installation and eventually staging.

Steve grew the business over the first two decades on his own, updating inventory to incorporate the latest technology and building a reputation of being a trusted partner for his clients. When Steve unexpectedly passed away in 1971, the future of the family business seemed to be in jeopardy. But his wife Mildred decided to take the lead – defying the conventions of the time. Mildred helped lead the company to what it is today, investing in new technology, diversifying our services and growing our team.

Over the last 70 years, we’ve become a nationally recognized production company – traveling the globe to produce over 300 events a year. Through all the changes, we have remained dedicated to the ideals that made us successful in the beginning: Great People, Great Equipment and Great Customer Service.

Here’s a look at how the Bartha you know today came to be.

As we celebrate our milestone this year, we’ll continue to look back at our history and share more about what we hope for the next 70 years. So join us on this exciting journey down memory lane and help us celebrate 70 amazing years of exceptional customer service & long-lasting client relationships.

Cheers to 70 more years – starting with a great 2016!
