Happy Holidays 2020

There are a lot of buzz words to define 2020: new normal, pivot, in the time of COVID, unprecedented, blursday. For our industry, it has been catastrophicAs the year comes to a close, it’s tempting to run toward the finish line with a plan to leave 2020 in the dust and embrace whatever is over the horizon on January 1stHowever, even a peek back at our year proves that we have a few extra buzz words we could add to the list: resilient, innovative, adaptive, dedicated.

When things happen you can’t control, there comes a time to look at it as a challenge to overcome. To see it as a test of your knowledge to become better at your craft. That’s how we’ve always approached surprises on events and that’s how we tackled 2020. It’s easy to focus on all of the things that have gone wrong. For us, it was having to let good people go due to the restrictions on live events. But it’s also worth acknowledging the great things we were able to accomplish despite so many setbacks and in the face of an awful global pandemic. We’re proud of the successful virtual events we’ve been able to produce for partners across the country.

Just like 2020, 2021 will be starting with the hope of something better. We’re choosing to believe that 2021 also holds the opportunity for more innovation, collaboration, and the chance to build the events industry back up. To continue to explore what’s possible and make meetings more exciting and effective as we explore what it means to meet and engage.

We hope your holidays are merry & bright and we hope your 2021 is better than your 2020!

Cheers!
