At Bartha, our diverse portfolio of clients includes, among many others, Fortune 500 companies, retailers, tech companies, global religious organizations and some of America’s most recognized colleges and universities.
This mix gives us a deep and wide perspective on what moves an audience to feel, think, dream and, ultimately, take action. Recently, we were fortunate to be a part of an event hosted by The Ohio State University that put a different twist on celebrating donors who support endowed positions at the school while also courting potential future donors.
It was called Masterminds. The program featured four endowed chairs of the University speaking for 10-minutes each on their areas of expertise in a format that was equal parts Ted Talk and PechaKucha, a presentation style driven by 20 images shown for 20 seconds apiece.
With the over-arching theme of “Inspiring Humanity,” topics were: Understanding Cancer, Beyond What the Eye Can See, Stereotyping and Prejudice, Leadership and Career Success, and Space.
Sherry McNary, Stewardship Manager for University Development at The Ohio State University, shared her vision for the inaugural event with Jeff McMahon, Account Manager for Bartha, who went to work to define the details needed to bring that vision to life. Through the combination of a site visit, creative technical solutions, attention to small details and a creative services package, Jeff made impactful recommendations that fit the size of the room and goals of the program. From outboard screens to a custom backdrop and carefully placed scenic elements, we set the stage for the presentations to be the spotlight.
“It was the best stage presence I have seen at Ohio State,” Sherry said. “It was awesome. Without that stage presence, (the event) would not have been what it was.”
Plans are already in the works for another Masterminds in April 2018.
