Planting the Seeds of Growth with the National FFA Organization

It was a sea of blue jackets as nearly 70,000 National FFA Organization members, supporters and guests from across the nation gathered in October for the 90th National FFA Convention and Expo.

The annual event sprawled across several downtown Indianapolis venues and into surrounding areas. Downtown, the 19,000-seat Bankers Life Fieldhouse hosted ten general sessions, while the expo, breakout sessions, seminars, continuing education and career success tours took place at the Indiana Convention Center. Additional seminars, rodeos and field tests were held at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

For each of the past 17 years, Bartha has been fortunate to provide creative direction, expertise and equipment for all of these events and activities that support the mission and growth of National FFA.

For this year’s event, we partnered with the organization to provide content management and production, set design and construction, graphics animation, stage direction, show and labor management, plus lighting, sound and projection for all stages including more than 50 breakouts and over 30 hours of the general session and entertainment programming at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. This included a stage spanning more than 100-feet wide by 48-feet deep to accommodate an audience of 16,000, along with a changing rotation of speakers and musical performances, including a choir and concert band.

The National FFA Convention & Expo is scheduled to be held in Indianapolis through 2024 and Bartha will be there to meet the growing needs of this amazing partner.

Experiences like those we enjoy with National FFA and others, have provided unique opportunities for us to build a proven track record of effectively engaging large audiences in multiple ways and in a variety of environments. And whether your audience is 50 or 50,000, these tried-and-true concepts and experiences can be right-sized for any organization or event.
