Be Noticed: Lisa Meadows

Details, details.

From the floral arrangements she produced in her family’s shop to the large-scale events she produces for Bartha’s clients, Lisa Meadows has always been about pulling things together to create something amazing.

“It’s kind of a strange way that things came about,” she said of her career. Her early days among the blooms of her mom’s shop showed she had a knack for décor. That lead her to a position with The Longaberger Company, where she worked as an interior designer and community events manager.

Eventually, she left Longaberger and worked with a production company for ten years in many different capacities, expanding and honing her skill set as producer and eventually executive producer

“I learned a lot of valuable lessons during that time. One thing I learned is to never overpromise and under-deliver. I saw that happen too much.”

Lisa’s extensive production experience has given her the perspective to see the value that Bartha brings that others don’t. “One of the things I love most at Bartha is that we truly partner with our clients. It’s not a matter of selling to them; we become invaluable to them because of our partnership. And every event is a custom event, not cookie-cutter. I’m proud of that.”

With a diverse group of players involved with every event, from lighting, sound, and video crew members to stage managers and producers to outside decorators to prompter operators and scriptwriters, Lisa has an incredible amount of detail to attend to, and that’s fine with her.

“I love to-do lists,” she laughed. “I’m a very organized person, extremely detail-oriented.

“After a client meeting, I love to work with the crew to get their input on what works and what doesn’t. I absolutely respect every member of the crew and what they do. I try to learn from them. We’re a team and constant communication is crucial.”

Outside of work, Lisa spends as much time as possible with her family. Daughter Sarah is an academic advisor at George Washington University in DC, and daughter Katie lives in Zanesville with her husband and their two daughters, three-year-old Emma and newborn Mara Elizabeth. Lisa admits to being hopelessly in love with both of them.

She was on a show in California when Mara was born on July 11, and couldn’t get home quickly enough to see her. “She is perfect and just beautiful!” Of new big sister Emma, Lisa said, “I just love that child!”
